2010 New York Motorexpo...

Show History

Motorexpo 2009 at the World Financial Centre, New York

Since its launch in 1996 the Motorexpo has grown at a remarkable rate with 2009 seeing events take place again in both in London and New York. Here Graeme Carver, Motorexpo Managing Director and President, evaluates the development of the Motorexpo's unique, innovative format and its affluent audience which combined have positioned the motor show like no other as a major fixture on the international automotive and global business calendar.

A unique, radical motor show format...

The Motorexpo is an unusual show in many ways: however the greatest single difference between our events compared to more traditional motor shows is that we offer a free to visit, automotive research opportunity to a business audience for whom time is a very precious commodity. What started in the early nineties and continues today was the development of an affluent audience within the leading global business locations that simply do not have the time to conduct research when it comes to making a new vehicle purchase.

A targeted brand and Sales activity...

In the past this group was extremely difficult to target in terms of a motor manufacturer’s Marketing activity as an overwhelming majority do not attend any form of motoring event. It is through the combination of this hard to reach audience with the latest vehicles from the world’s leading motor manufacturers the Motorexpo has grown; 2009 saw events held with strong success at Canary Wharf in London for the 14th consecutive year and the 2nd annual World Financial Center New York event this past September.

Further expansion in 2010...

The Motorexpo is a proven format which delivers exceptional results and I am delighted that, despite the ongoing tough economic climate, in 2010 our planned expansion will continue when we deliver our first Motorexpo to our new Los Angeles audience and that we already have confirmation for the Toronto Motorexpo which is set to be unveiled in 2011. This expansion is a testament to the unique and innovative opportunity that the Motorexpo offers our exhibitors. We look forward to working with them and welcoming an estimated combined audience of over 750,000 of the world’s leading and most affluent business professionals to the Motorexpo in the next twelve months.
